Alicia Keys The Element Of Freedom Album Review – Alicia Keys is back with a new album titled “The Element of Freedom” that will be released on December 15, 2009 through J Records. The album is average because when you are a twelve-time Grammy Award winner, people come to expect greater things from you.’The Element of Freedom’ has few good songs but unfortunately no classic like “Fallin’”,”If I Ain’t Got You” or “Like You’ll Never See Me Again.” Musically and vocally Alicia Keys is free experiencing with new sounds and notes but lyrically the CD is very weak.
Tracks that you should check for:
-”Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart”,”Distance and Time” ,”Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down”,”Love Is Blind.”
Tracks you should try to skip:
“Put It in a Love Song” (featuring Beyoncé), “Un-thinkable (I’m Ready).”
Overall Alicia Keys’ ‘The Element of Freedom’ is the worse album from the diva thus far but it is still better than most of the R&B CDs out there now.Hopefully this is just a transition to greater things to come.I have to give the album 2.75/5.
